“Innocence of Muslims” is an anti-Islam, blasphemous film made to humiliate millions of Muslims and has led to the rise of strong protests from all over the Muslim world. I am sure everybody knows about this because the media is giving a lot of coverage to the protests against it.
I ask myself why this film is made? Why is Islam targeted? What is terrorism and where is peace?
Here, read something the media has to say:
articles.cnn.com :
“I was shaking when I found out. I had no idea,” Dionne told CNN on Sunday. “This was a movie that I thought no one would ever see.”
Dionne knew the filmmaker as Sam Bacile. But federal officials say his name is Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, a convicted felon with a history of using aliases to hide his actions.
Islam categorically forbids any depictions of Mohammed, and blasphemy is an incendiary taboo in the Muslim world.”
…………………………………..
The film-maker is a man convicted to bank frauds and also to theft from church funds, as the media says. And how do such people get chance to raise fingers against other people or a religion in whole??
forward.com :
BANK FRAUD CONVICTION
Nakoula, whose name has been widely linked to the film in media reports, pleaded guilty to bank fraud in 2010 and was sentenced to 21 months in prison, to be followed by five years on supervised probation, court documents showed.
He was accused of fraudulently opening bank and credit card accounts using Social Security numbers that did not match the names on the applications, a criminal complaint showed.
As well as the fraud conviction, Nakoula also pleaded guilty in 1997 to possession with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and was sentenced to a year in jail, said Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.

So well, your time to decide.
It’s not about one religion or a group of people. Repeated insults and ugly acts targeting millions of people is cowardliness. And terrorism.
Freedom of speech is a right ONLY when it does not cross the boundaries.
If you are spreading hatred by your speech and acts, you misunderstood the meaning of ‘freedom of speech’!
As a blogger I can only plea to:
- Muslims for protesting peacefully. For God sake, do not react or protest in a manner that you are going to regret. Be peaceful for Islam is a religion of peace and harmony.
- People involved for removing the clips of this video and stop insulting religions.
Good effort. I agree totally. And thumbs up for the research about the film-maker.
Thankyou so much Khoulah for your kind comment!:)
Muslims should take more proactive step to confront this issue rather than protests, which done more damage than good.
I say protesting is completely our right but its totally true too that a correct way of peaceful protesting should be adopted. Instead of destruction or damaging your own countries, other proactive steps should be taken at a higher level..
Masha’ Allah nice blog sister. Keep it up! 🙂
Jazakillah Tooba:) Keep coming!
Hmm… You should shed some light on “I ask myself why this film is made? Why is Islam targeted? What is terrorism and where is peace?”.
The reason I didn’t was that the questions are what the readers must ask themselves and they will know the answers too..
You are right. Freedom of speech is something that needs to be used wisely. Creating hatred is not right. At the same time retaliating to such cowardice acts with more hatred is also not right. People cal protest peacefully too. I am saddened by the attacks made in the name of the silly video clip.
Absolutely correct.
◘ Those who speech about freedom of speech should realize the limits of it and not dishonor religions of the world.
◘ And those who stand against it, should not react with hatred.. It was pretty saddening really.
