Eclipse.

I see how
The desert meets
The ocean.

And I wonder
If
All other things
Just as antonymous
Could meet too?

Can desire meet contentment?

Dreams meet attainment?

Hopes meet achievement?

Is it so
Just how
Life meets Oblivion?

Nimba- where desert meets water

I love to believe that it does happen till it happens..fake it till you make it kind. ๐Ÿ™‚
Nice poetry btw so random yet soo to the point.(I hope you get what I mean)

Oh yes. “Fake it till you make it” – works as a great principle, right?
It sure is random because you see, I was about to post only this photo that I stumbled upon with a note that ‘i loved it and really wanted to share it!’. So instead, I got up with these words and poured them here! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thankyou for your visit again. Really appreciate it! ๐Ÿ™‚

Sometimes Anonymous things meet and they Sail perfectly and Sometimes even the known meeting can’t have a swift ride…That’s is Life and I guess we can’t have contentment with everything though we wanted to have.. ๐Ÿ™‚

BTW I really loved the lines and the Picture is just so perfect.. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Wow! Pretty intellectual? : )
And true too. God knows whats better. We can only wait for the ‘right time’ (and appreciate what we have + strive for what we want..)

Thankyou for coming! Your comment has meant alot ๐Ÿ™‚

    Awesome..

    Can desire meet contentment?
you have quoted Rumi’s quote, and i remember another one of him,
Paradise is surrounded by what we do not like; the fires of hell are surrounded by what we desire.
So, I believe, we should desire the least but from ourselves.

    Dreams meet attainment?
Nicely portrayed this, since, this whole thing is a dream, the attainment is the awakening.

    Hopes meet achievement?
But the faith and the hope and the love, are all in the waiting, and not in achieving…

    Where Life meets oblivion?
Aah! Oblivion, when we have so many questions unanswered, when our glass of knowledge is not full, we can not attain it. Oblivion is attainment.

    • randomlyabstract says:

“Paradise is surrounded by what we do not like; the fires of hell are surrounded by what we desire.”
Oh yes, that’s true. Lustrous things carry masks, there’s hell. Original thorns are not really thorns, they’re flowers- that’s Paradise. Not easy to attain, right? Why would someone choose what looks like thorns and not shiny glasses? We desire for what looks good to the eye, so we don’t reach to contentment. Allah wants us to look towards the other side, the one which holds better.

Your comment about hopes meeting achievement is true too.
โ€œI said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.โ€
      โ€• T.S. Eliot
But human is too impatient to achieve even things that really await.

“Oblivion is attainment” – yet another intellectual point. Explain me more of this.

Thankyou for taking your time and leaving your wise thoughts here. Much appreciated! And keep visiting! ๐Ÿ™‚

    This post resonates.

In Oman, there are several points on the coastline where the desert sands of the empty quarters meets the Arabian Sea. This is a beautiful phenomena, so aptly captured in the picture.

Thankyou Sir for your wonderful words!
How I wish I could visit those places in Oman.. Even the idea of desert sand meeting the coastline sounds miraculous. Another beautiful bounty of nature. =)
      Thanks again for coming,
      Maria.

  7. Arindam Saha says:

The ocean meets the desert trying to extend its reach… Trying too hard to quench the thirst of the sands. It tries to capture more of land, yet repeatedly fails.

The waves in the ocean of efforts constantly try to capture the sands of desires. It endlessly tries but in vain. Such is the the attraction and lust towards the desires…

    Very beautifully written indeed…

I love the way you have captured this in such words- far better than I could have thought of!

“The waves in the ocean of efforts constantly try to capture the sands of desires. It endlessly tries but in vain. Such is the the attraction and lust towards the desiresโ€ฆ”

That’s very true too. We keep on desiring and our desires never meet an end- their ‘thirst never quenched’. All efforts end useless, ‘in vain’. And in the end its only the desert and the ocean, as in Nimba. Close together but never able to fulfill each other.

Thankyou for coming and leaving your wonderful feedback here. much appreciated! =)
