Me.

RA

Hey there!

Welcome to my blog. I’m a word-lover and language enthusiast. This blog is a randomly abstract combination of things I love and hate, that matter, and those which matter not.

I write about everything. I love words! I love how one can paint emotions with a pencil, draw poetry with one’s feelings and exhale life like that. Having an academic background in literature and language, I am creating a life driven by those passions.

I am fond of nights, rains, paintings. Science and people.

‘Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’ life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.’ Steve Jobs

Deeply inspired by creativity, experimenting and discovering —Β  I am just another girl scribbling her life out.

Oh, and you call me Maria.

  1. I am unable to put a comment on ur ” why do i write blogs” page.
Just wanted 2 say it was gr8… “expressing yourself” is one of the best motto fr writing.. expressing ur thoughts …ur outlook towards life.. & its good 2 share it across the world and get the opinion of others around u..
    Keep posting..!!

    • Thankyou erakanksha!
Its so good to know you liked it! I edited it to add few more stuff, I hope you will re-read it. And Im sorry you can’t comment there. Actually, it was the first page I made and there is no way possible to enable there comments. So it can only be liked (and comments here)! πŸ˜‰
Other then that, yes expressing oneself is so very important. Better the way, easy the outcome ~
Once again thankyou so much for your nice comments =) Keep visiting!

  3. Maria,
sometimes Internet/blogging/books/diaries are not enough to come out of yourself, to come out of real yourself, you need to live what’s inside you. But i really like what u write, you are very much expressive.

    Nice reading about you

Thanks for visiting my blog. Be in touch. Browse through the category sections, I feel you may find something of your interest.

    • Hey! Tou aap INDIA waley Hyderabad se haen? πŸ˜‰
Glad to have you here and I equally love your blog. Actually, I love it more: “The Nawabi Musings!” from the name to the Taaruf and everything else πŸ˜€

Thankyou for coming and please do come again. And again! πŸ˜‰

      Wassalam!
      Maria.

  5. dont you think the quote you quoted fits practically on me :p

yes thinking is a huge curse , i was following your blog already but i just scanned it and this is one well maintained blog, i am so much in awe of people who maintain their blog. also your about me is good. its original πŸ™‚

    • Hey thankyou for stopping by and leaving your thoughts.
Yes the quote does fit perfect, because you do have the courage to say whatever and not mind about it πŸ˜‰ I will be cautious though, in making comments there. ‘Stupid comments’ are badly-treated, nahee? πŸ˜€
And thankyou for the appreciation. Keep visiting!
      – Maria.

      • haha it was hidden sarcasm that if you dont like what i say then keep your opinions to yourself πŸ˜€ dont be cautious though, have courage to say whatever you want too πŸ™‚ and sure I will, i will scan every post too in coming days πŸ˜‰ look out for awkward comments :p

        • I know right? I mean, why won’t you be sarcastic to someone who comes on saying you are the weirdest! πŸ˜€
Acha you are saying “keep your opinions to yourself” and then you are also saying “don’t be cautious though, have courage to say whatever you want to”. So does that mean, have courage to say whatever you want to, and get criticized more? πŸ˜›
Well, I will certainly watch out then! πŸ˜‰
          Have fun blogging! πŸ™‚

  6. Asalam-o-Alaikum,

Just dropping by to say thanks for liking my post … and liking it enough to start following me … well that doesn’t happen often … and to think it happened twice today … anyway thanks again … Interesting info. … Really liked the part about collecting memories … So are the results of online quizzes … accurate … πŸ˜€

    • Walaikum assalam!!

Thankyou for coming by, I found your blog from White Pearl’s of course πŸ˜‰ And I must admit I loved the poetry and design, and umm I’d like you to guide how you do that? I mean Urdu fonts kesay? πŸ˜€
Also I appreciate that gravatar (R4bia) you’ve put. (Thumbs up!)
And thankyou for your kind words, please do keep visiting! πŸ™‚

      • Hey thanks for the appreciation … thats what keep me going … πŸ˜€

        For urdu typing,

Can you kindly tell me which Windows you are using or weather it Apple OS

And in the mean time follow the link,

        http://urdu.ca/1

In step 1 you can install Urdu Fonts … but since you can easily read my post i think it might already be installed.

In step 2 you can install Phonetic Keyboard that will be used to type in Urdu.

Also on step 2 page there will be a layout of Phonetic Keyboard if you are a novice at urdu typing … it will come in handy!!!

Further instructions after i will know about your OS.

Sadly … that is all I can do for my Egyptian Brothers for now …!!! 😦

      • Also another question … i forgot to ask … do you post directly on word press or do you use Microsoft Word to directly post you blog post on word press…???

Hey there fellow ‘random’.. Thank you so much for liking my posts today and for the subsequent ‘follow’! It enabled me to find you and follow you too. Your blog also looks great πŸ™‚ Looking forward to reading your future posts and archive. Happy writing πŸ˜‰
p.s people used to say that I ‘over-think’ too!

    • Hi there, fellow thinker!
To over-think is great, except it brings a lot of personal fuss! πŸ˜‰

I loved visiting your blog, those short verses, and poems, roller-coaster, happy pills, simultaneous, mad musing, and so much that I’d say: I love everything you write! πŸ™‚

      Happy blogging, keep visiting!

  8. Thank you for visiting and liking my blog. I am not even nearly as active a blogger as you are. From what I see you are nothing short of a blogging celebrity πŸ™‚

You are a very good writer and you poems are beautiful . And you are painter and photographer as well. Is there anything you don’t do? πŸ˜€

well, i don’t know how you stumbled upon my page – by random and regretted accident? but glad you did so i could find yours. i don’t buy into this “following” for the sake of getting followers, and could actually care less if any but a certain few look at my stuff. i will, however, be following you as yours is amazing in appearance and content – beautiful to view and jarring to read. no reciprocation expected or desire. don’t ever waste time and space following some shit that does not interest you. life is too short for that. i will be coming back often to devour every syllable and image. cheers

    • Random stumble sounds right, but it wasn’t a ‘regretted accident’ for sure. Why’d you think that?
Glad you liked my blog’s ‘appearance and content’ and so did I like yours, and I am equally glad to find out your space! Time waste? Trust me, I don’t like things for no reason. I like what I read, and what I ‘like to read’. And don’t worry, I won’t be following things of no interest. πŸ™‚
Do come back again and I will be honored to have your presence here! πŸ™‚
      Best wishes.

Many thanks for your lovely comment. πŸ™‚ I’m from Pakistan.
You see I took this quiz about three or more years back, so I don’t really remember where I found it. So sorry about that. 😦 But if I do find the link later somehow, I’ll update you for sure.
More blessings and many thanks for stopping by! =)

    • Haha, hi. The music and the current theme settings were for Lalarukh who is getting married this week. I was celebrating her thing on my blog here as a wedding gift, so that is what it is. πŸ™‚

How lovely of you to help her celebrate with such a sweet gift! And thanks for your kind comments on my pictures. They are all a work in progress – a bit like myself, haha!

        • Works in process – like life itself too. πŸ™‚ I love arts, and I love every ingredient of it.

    • Glad you do. That’s Thomas Cole’s ‘Manhood‘, third in the series of “Voyage of Life” which describes stages and phases we undergo. It’s about troubles, storms, and lack of control, etc. But a hint of serenity in the distant background… πŸ™‚

“The boat is damaged and the tiller is gone. The river has become a terrible rush of white water with menacing rocks, dangerous whirlpools, and surging currents. “Amidst the chaos and confusion of the wild scene in the foreground, one catches a glimpse of possible serenity.”

      • Marvelous. Thanks for introducing it to me, ive just seen the series of four and it has fascinated me to great extent. I even changed my wallpaper to the Youth πŸ˜€

  34. I LOVE THIS ABOUT SECTION. Mine is so lame in front of yours and some other bloggers’ that I have read from. πŸ˜› Khair, no big deal, it will be better some day, insha Allah. I also ADORE your theme. Too bad it wasn’t introduced when I was making my blog. :/
Now, can I just tell you how much I love your writing? *Tries* *okay I can’t*
I am so glad you found my blog cause thats how I found yours :’) Keep this up and you’ll do wonders.

    • Haha thank you! Thank you. So much. YOUR ABOUT PAGE IS NOT LAME, BHUI. I love the way it is! I am glad you like my writings; it means more than you’d know. :’) Aur theme toh kuch arsa pehly change kia tha it was black before. I have changed A LOT of themes since the beginning of this blog. xD

Equally glad to find your place. β™₯

      • Well I always think okay let’s change my theme but I feel like I’ll be betraying this one if i do so πŸ˜› I think someday I will surely when I overcome this stupid feeling πŸ˜€ Insha Allah.

          • Yeah I chose this one because of the same reason I left the green book undecorated and plain for ages. Even now it only has a few stripes of printed tape nothing more on the cover. I wanted the focus of the reader to be on the content, and let the words wander free all about. :’) And yes over-thinking is totally in the name πŸ˜›
