Main nara-e-mastana, main shouqi- e- rindana
Main tashna kahan jaaon, pee kar bhi kahan jana
Slogan of Inebriation am I, drunkard mercurial-ness am I
drink may I , may I not hardly does it make a difference
Main souz-e-mohabbat hoon, main aik qayamat hoon
Main ashk-e-nadaamat hoon, main gouhar-e-yakdana
A burning heat of love am I, the eventual
Tear of ignominy , a pearl unfound am I
Main tahir-e-lahooti, main johar-e-malkooti
Nasoot ne kab mujh ko is haal mein pehchana
Pern of heaven, the gem of empires and I
Hath when humanity known me so?
Main sham-e- farozan hoon, main aatish-e-larza hoon
Main sozish-e-hijraan hoon, main manzil-e-parwana
Illuminating light of the dusk, a raging flame am I
Mordancy of parting, Destination of Pyralid am I
Kis yaad ka sehera hoon, kis chashm ka darya hoon
Khud toor ka jalwa hoon, hai shakl qalbhana
A desert of thoughts, a river of which fall?
the biggest reality of the universe yet unrevealed
Main husn-e-mujassim hoon, main gesu-e-barham hoon
Main phool hoon shabnam hoon, main jalwa-e-janana
A frozen beauty am I, a ringlet in anger
A flower, the dew am I, beauty of the beloved
Main wasif-e-bismil hoon, main ronaq-e-mehfil hoon
Ik toota howa dil hoon, main shehar mein veerana
Wasif, slayed am I, heart of the crowd
A broken heart am I, a lonely in the city.

Where Are Promises Kept?

Seeping,
Seeping into my soul.
Weeping,
My empty eyes are weeping.
Singing,
Singing songs of mourn.
Mourning…
Mourning for unachievable chances
Mourning for unenviable glances
Mourning for the memories.
For the memories that only remain.
Ah.. Memories!
My memories!
‘No, OUR memories’.
Our memories.
The soul interrupts
By and again
‘We share the memories.’
‘We will always be one.’
People spun around,
And stun.
‘We will always love,
For we know what it holds.
We, just we
Believe in the powers above.’
‘We were made for each other.’
Yes, oh yes.
We were souls for each other.
We were the reasons we lived.
So
What reason do I have now?
I ask again,
And yet again.
The Mourning…
The mourning increases,
Grows louder, and louder.
‘Not here, but there,
We will see blue air.’
DEAFENING.
The sounds are deafening.
‘Because we are made for each other.’
The coffin is lifted.
With loud sounds of takbeer,
“Allah ho Akbar!”
Unstoppable cries.
Women screaming relentlessly.
Screaming,
As if the soul will return!
But where am I?
Looking.
Into the dark passages ahead,
Those await my future.
Wondering,
Where are promises kept?
If they are stored,
Once they are made,
Then where?
‘We will always be one!’
How could that be true?
Staring,
Where could they take him?
He is mine,
He told me!
Then why do they take him?
Will they stop?
Will they let him look around,
And smile at me?
He WILL look.
And smile.
I kept on looking,
And wait.
“WAIT!”
I scream.
“Don’t take him so fast!”
He has something to say.
Something of the past.
“STOP!”
I tell you,
He has to say,
With no more delay,
That he loves me!
Yes he does,
He is going to tell me!
He never leaves before saying so!
It has to happen, I know.
They stare at me and nod,
Look! They understood.
They will wait for him to say.
But “oh leave me!”
Where are you taking me to?
DON’T FORCE ME!
He has to say something.
Oh look he will.
Don’t go far.
I need to hear his last words.
Stop, don’t pull me!
‘Hey wait, let me tell you!’
Spoke then a voice between,
My cries.
LOOK He Is Speaking!
He is speaking again!
I told you he would.
I shout enthusiastically.
He never leaves me
Without saying that he loves me.
The voice interrupts,
Heavily.
“I don’t love you stupid girl.’
‘I never did!’
I observe my eyes turning stones.
I stare at him,
He is playing with me for one last time.
And I laugh!
“But oh, this one is painful.”
I laugh more as I tell him.
‘Truth is always painful.’
He continues being playful.
I roll my eyes and smile at him,
And question,
If it was the last way left
To surprise me?
But he seems to have promised,
To surprise and joke,
Until my breath skips,
And my blood clots,
Is he doing so,
So that I,
Could leave with him?
‘I never loved you.’
He says firmly,
So firmly that I froze,
I forget it is just a joke.
I gather my humor,
My energy, my love,
And ask him to stop.
“Too much for a joke”,
I tell him.
‘Truth is painful, stupid girl.’
Oh no, no, no.
I can’t stand this.
Take him away.
I don’t need him.
‘Truth is painful, girl.’
‘I never ever did love you!’
His last words are so harsh,
Harsher than all thorns,
I try to smile,
And prove I know him well.
But all that fall are tears.
They roll down,
I try to stop.
I assure myself,
Of all the love that remained,
Between the two of us.
He is lying,
He said we are one.
We will always be one.
I will forgive you this time,
But say that once more,
And I will kill you in the core.
‘It’s not just this,
I have always HATED you!’
‘Yes, I hated you.
You are just so emotional.
You are not strong.
You are immature,
Romantic?
Soulistic.
You run from truths,
You live for memories,
‘You are not my kind.’
He says.
He keeps on saying.
JUST TAKE HIM AWAY!
I shout,
I don’t want him to stay,
Even if
All of this is a joke.
I don’t care.
But he won’t go.
He has decided,
To take with him,
All the good memories,
And leave here,
With me,
Only hatred.
Rejection.
Rejection. Interception.
When it is least needed.
‘If you took my sympathies for kindness,
And my kindness for love.’
‘It is entirely your fault,’
‘I played with you a game.’
‘Yet I shall take no blame.
For I wanted you to grow.’
‘I am going away,
I am going above.
But don’t stay here thinking,
That I blessed you with my love!’
Trust me this last time,
What I said is true.
I never did love you,
I never could love you!’
TAKE HIM AWAY!
JUST TAKE HIM FAR!
He is lying to me all right.
I screamed with all my might.
They took him away far,
And I fell on my knees.
I cried and cried,
And came nobody to stop me.
The hall was empty,
And my life, emptier.
**
I woke up the next day,
With a heart heavier,
Than all stones and weights.
Burden no one could debate.
Someone knocked on the door,
And brought a cup of tea,
Along with numerous flowers,
All set in a bouquet.
I looked at them with thoughtful eyes,
Who could have been so generous?
I have died in my life,
Who is making my fun here?
TAKE THEM AWAY!
I wanted to be violent,
But I remained silent.
Then came another bouquet,
The very next day,
And bouquets followed,
Until uncountable days.
Finally I found him,
Whom had been so generous.
He was the one,
To fill all my emptiness,
With his lovely conversations,
And true love,
His companionship,
Became my greatest treasure.
His kind visits,
Filled me with pleasure.
But it took a lot of time.
To be me again.
To forget what had happened,
Or at least allow this man,
To mend me as he will.
He mended my broken heart,
With great dedication,
Removed agitation.
And carried it away.
Promising,
Never to return it wounded.
**
He kept to his promise,
Until this day,
And forever he will keep it,
I doubt this, nay!
If promises are to be kept,
They are kept so
Safely,
Into two hearts, locked,
Intertwined such,
that keys fail to unlock,
Ways obstacles can’t block.
He loved me completely,
And I gave all of mine,
For I believed in the powers,
That are hold above.
**
Today I take my daughters,
To the house abandoned,
The place where
My life changed forever,
And so did
Everything that existed.
I pray at the residence,
For all those that died,
And once lived.
And once loved,
And once lied.
For me!

2013, Awards, By the roaring waves!, My Writings

I’d like to thank Y’all!

My beautiful ladies and gentlemen! I welcome on stage, our very famous (?) WordPress blogger who started her career almost three years back and is now a proud owner of… erm, just 230 posts! Anyways, on your huge applause we have here with us: Miss Randomly Abstract!!!

*Deafening applause* (A lady dressed in a royal blue sarri comes forward to the stage and turns to wave the crowd before she climbs the first step.)*gestures thankyou by waving her hands* and takes a step forward, still looking back and thump! (the crowd gasps unitedly and looks in horror at the fallen creature)
The host first looks horrified, than he crouches as he tries to keep his laughter when the angry lady shouts at him.

“You bead-eyed! Can’t you see your guest has fallen? Is it not in your list of manners to come ahead and help her up???”

‘Oh sorry ma’am. I’m very sorry’, says the embarrassed host as he hurries towards the step and holds her hand to help her stand.

“Now here. Next time remember to be dutiful. If there is another next time, God forbid.”, hushes the lady in his ear.

‘Sorry for the interruption ladies and gentlemen! Here we have our beautiful blogger, Miss R.A with us. Let us make most of this honorable occasion and ask her about herself’, says the host in an effort to bring things back to good.

“Hi everybody!”, exclaims Miss R.A as she forces the host away and takes his place on the dice. (the host looks disgustingly)

“I am Miss R.A. And this is a very blissful occasion as you see. I have been honored with a numberrr of awards by my beautifullll readers!” *she hides her purse behind the dice and opens the zip secretly* “And so, I’d like to thank each one of you for your support and appreciation. To finally commence my speech, I’d like to…” *her hands in her purse as she tries to find something, her forehead wrinkled with confusion* “quote my favorite….

(Oh wait, where’s my speech? *lady looks terrified as she fails to find her paper which she had kept in her purse*

The host comes forward, forgetting the previous disrespectful situation and asks politely if she as lost something.)

“Yes. I have lost my mind, say that. Where is my written speech?”, she asked.

‘No problem missus. Don’t fuss please. Say whatever you remember or what ever you’d like to, please’, pleaded the irritated host.

“Yeah if it was you, I would have seen how not to fuss when your paper’s missing. It had taken me the whole long night, then another more hours to get it proofread and now that its missing, you tell me NOT TO FUSS? NO PROBLEM it is? How ridiculous!”

‘Well ma’am. You are getting off your limits. Kindly pardon the crowd and end up with your turn already’, the host half-shouts.

“So well my dearies,” continues Miss R.A as she completely ignores the host, “I am still not too old to forget what my favorite quote was. My lovely friend Paulo Coelho once said:

When a person really desires something, all the universe conspires to help that person to realize his dream.

And you see, that has stood true for me! Here while I stand addressing you all at this position on such an occasion, I think it holds true for me. It must, for you too.

Now coming back to my bunch of awards, you see I have got a whole lot of them. This is the third time I have been called, and I shall be pleased to announce what I have in my trophy closet for now!

Firstly, thank you Bee for these special awards! I am so glad you thought of me! 🙂

Second, I must thank Ajaytao for gifting me with so many of them: that day and this day! And as you generously ask me to choose on my own, I will choose those that are new and my favorite. Thanks! 🙂

Now, thanks to my very dear friends at Two Rights Attempting To Make A Left for these awesome tokens of love:

And now, well here is this Shine on Award from Special One and lets please invite him here to praise me.

He: You are a genius! You write beautiful prose and poetry! You deserve this Shine On Award from me, please accept and oblige!

Me: Why Special One! Thankyou!! 🙂

He: “every blogger thinks that they think so much and too much and so deep and too deep and no one can match their brain pattern and so on and on. actually you people are just social rejects who dont have humans to listen to your rants.”

Me: WHAT?? What the hell are you talking about? I, a social reject?

He: “Writing is not a skill. It’s not, ask a 5-year-old to write some thing about his/her favorite thing and they will have some words on the paper too and some one would find a deep meaning and hidden metaphors within them. writing is just a way to kill time and to boost your -..”

(Lady looks baffled. She doesn’t know how to respond and cuts in.)

Me: Thankyou special One! I really appreciate you thought of me, but well I think your time’s up. You may leave.”

He: Every one responds with thankyou for reading it and I respect your opinions and blah but inside they are probably either planning the murder or devastated and let down. Relax love.

Me: THANKYOU SPECIAL ONE. Please leave!

He laughs and says, oh and you have a very awkward blog name! Then he goes away. (Lady sighs with relief while the crowd hoots for that brave man. Lady looks sternly at the host who is laughing hard so that he immediately stops and pretends to be serious.)

“Well my followers! That was just a funny admirer, he has his own ways of telling how much he appreciates it.”, adds the lady calmly.

“Here we have some more awards. Which one is this? Oh my beloved friend White Pearl has given me the Awesome Blog Content award. Why White Pearl, thankyou sooo much! :D”

From Tanumoy

Host: Ma’am are you done yet?

Lady: I’ve won many awards and I want more. If you want to call it hunger then I’m hungry for awards.

Host: Didn’t Shahrukh Khan said that?

Lady: What’s with you??

“Now here is our another lovely friend The Only Martian who has honored me from the Shine On award! Thankyou dearest! :)”

From Lalaruk and Moniba

“Thankyou my friends for thinking of me! You see, I am not following any rules except expressing my gratitude which is because I am very very happy! 😀

Now I’d like to end my post- erm speech here. Yes host, keep on mimicking me. What do you think? Am I blind? Anywaaaaaays, thankyou all!

And yess, to let you all know how thankful I am, I must allow each one of you to choose these awards, so those of you who follow even any single of the following terms, qualify:

  • Those that rate my poems Can You Draw Hatred and/or The Shadow Show.
  • Those that like my facebook page here: Randomly Abstract, which you must do gleefully! 😉
  • Those that are already linked here.
  • Those that comment below! =D
  • And even those that just like! (yes yes, grab your favorite ones!)

Now thankyou and rejoice! Your favorite awards are yours! 😀

(Lady waves to the cheering crowd and takes a step forward when she realizes she is forgetting her purse, turns back, picks her purse and paper and waves again, not forgetting to shoot a stern look at the impeccable host who is grinning joyfully.)

*The End*

This speech has been written in response to the Daily Prompt: I’d Like to Thank My Cats: You are receiving an award –- either one that already exists, or a new one created just for you. What would the award be, why are you being honored, and what would you say in your acceptance speech? / Last but not the Least.

So what’s happening?

What have you been putting off doing? Why?

I haven’t been blogging lately, and why? I don’t know! I just don’t feel like doing it. Though I know I will be missing my traffic later, but I am looking forward to seeing a zero on my stats page soon.

So whats up? I have got fever and flu. 😦
What else? I don’t know! Even though I have plenty of free time nowadays, I have sorta lost inspiration interest.. Kia kahun?

There are some awards pending to showcase, that I received since my last award-post on 22nd July ’13. I will be making a post soon about them. 🙂
A blog got published on a Paki website. That too, I will share later.

So well day before yesterday there were guests from Saudi; my mother’s friend’s daughters. It was lovely to be with them! We had so much fun chatting and laughing and eating and well, laughing again!

What else? I made friends with a blogger and writer, after I searched for her on Facebook and it turned out that she is my aunt’s first cousin and knows my parents (who do too), and is mother-in-law to another relative of mine, and aunt-in-law to my sister-in-law’s sister and friend to my mom’s aunt! 😛 Distant connections but surprising!
I had seen her name first on paper two years back when a story of mine got published in the same magazine. I had no idea then that we were somehow related! 🙂

Oh and there was this grand wedding between two second-cousins at a pretty pretty place. And there was a peacock in the hotel outside, it was lovely! Here is a photo of it for the Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree.

It was carefree. Only I was impatient, "Can you stop for a moment and let me take a photo please?"

It was carefree. Only I was impatient, “Can you stop for a moment and let me take a photo please?”

The Islamic Republic of Pakistan which emerged on the world map as a free and independent country on 14th August 1947, celebrated her special day with enthusiasm.Having spent all these sixty six years, the frail yet strong country looks at her wounds. All of them except those latest stabs are covered. There always is a group of saviors where there is a group of terrorists; of kind youth and old citizens alike, those that try to bandage its harmed skin with patches, each and every time someone tears it apart. Holes and ugly blots are everywhere, but carefully and lovingly sewn patches on its green soil still make it look and act strong. She cannot think ill of her citizens, for whatsoever harm they bring, because she is a mother. Her kids are her own, there are Muslims and there are Christians, Hindus, and many others. They have different mindsets, they profess different occupations, they are all different. Yet they are all her own, very own!

A tear drops as she suffers from another stab, another painful, sharp stab of cruel words and inside-riots. ‘What has Pakistan done for us?’ is the same as a child bad-mouths at her parent what she has done for her. The country’s eyes welled up with tears once again, and once again did someone pray for her health, for her well-being.

There a kid dies, there they starve, there a girl is raped, and there they commit suicide: father and his sons together. She sees them all with a brave heart. But she has no control over her tears. She cries and weeps, silently. She looks at Sindh, Punjab, Khyber and Balochistan: they are all old and weak. They have had enough tortures for a state. She thinks she has failed miserably. She wanted very much to unite these brothers, to make them love each other. She wanted them to understand how they are all equal in her eyes.

Just when she is about to give up hope, another young boy stands up and strives to make a change. A little, poor boy cannot see Pakistan’s photo dropped on the floor and picks up the flag before anyone could march over it. Another girl helps an old lady to cross the road, a group of scouts aid the injured dog, some men wearing shalwar kameez gather and help the wounded guy who had just met a horrible accident.

Between the terrible traffic jam, a gentleman comes out of his air-conditioned car and helps clearing the route. A woman whose hands are already full of bangles still buys gajrays to help the little, innocent girl who is selling them.

Pakistan smiles. She sees that not everything is lost. There still is the greatest thing left: there is hope! The people are still courageous, they are ready to face any and all challenges that stand ahead, they pray, they work, they love Pakistan!

Where there will be cruelty, there will be rescuers. There is Abdul Sattar Edhi, there is Sharmeen Obaid, there is Chhipa, there is Hamdard. There is Memon foundation, Shaukat Memorial, Civil and Abbasi Shaheed. There are hardworking workers, kind doctors, some sincere NGOs, and soldiers known for their valor.

There are writers, and professionals, youngsters and adults, there are kids and old alike, there is YOU and there is ME, who simply want Pakistan to live- and live forever!

They will always love Pakistan. They will keep standing firm like a strong wall, they will be those to save it from further damages, they won’t let it die. They won’t let the green flag drop. They won’t let anybody to destroy it at all! – See more at: http://whitengreen.com/blog.php?id=693-lets-for-once-take-responsibility-and-stop-blaming-pakistan#sthash.FHdRzh4l.dpuf

The Green Eyed Monster

I was surprised to find my blog stats increasing so rapidly! 185 views on August 3, whats so special? I didn’t even post anything that day! And oh I just found out what had done the magic! Its this prompt I had submitted to the Daily Post which had been accepted this soon unexpectedly and posted on August 3. A total of ninety-five bloggers have already submitted their letters and I feel like cursing myself for not knowing it before! 😦 (and somehow I have made them all count their envious moments)

The Green Eyed Monster-

Anyways happy it got there, and now I should be posting my letter- though it had to be all anonymous.

Maybe being envious is another way of appreciating someone else. Someone said when you hate someone, you are probably jealous of them. And if you are jealous, you surely secretly admire them.

So heya all featured bloggers!

You got your way to the Freshly Pressed! Some of you got featured there twice- or thrice! Which is ridiculously awesome!! So well- no, I am not jealous. I am just...well, confused?
I mean why no me? :D
You see, getting FP is like a WOW and you all get to have that honorable position! Its the position I dream of- though okay I don't really deserve it but well, I don't see how you get it. (And that's what all green eyed suffer from, right?)
Anywaaaaaaaaays, barrels of congratulations! :P

To be honest, I can not think of someone else that I am jealous of. There is this story I am writing about ‘Pride and Jealousy’ which is all I can think of and which I had in mind while submitting the prompt. Its about two cousins, Pride and Jealousy themselves, and their qualities have been characterized there. I pretty much love the story myself but it has got its ending undone. So I shall be publishing it later-

Anyhow, that was all about the monstrous part. Here is a collage of all the green I could capture:

Weekly Photo Challenge: Masterpiece

Diamonds are said to be girls’ best friends. But for me, all kinds of gems and stones hold fascination!

My masterpiece~

My masterpiece~

I have been taking part in these Weekly Photo Challenges, and I don’t mind posting ordinary snapshots taken by me. Because you see nor do I own all that amazing equipment and nor do I travel! But this challenge, Masterpiece had actually been very challenging. I searched my photos from Othello stage plays to wedding decos and unique boxes to other randoms but couldn’t find any suitable. It had to be a place, or a piece of art, nature, or just an object that speaks to you.

So then, I began to play with this photo and ended up creating this; called ‘your masterpiece’ by the photo editor I used. 😉

Anyway I’m glad I came up with at least something before Friday!

Some extremely awesome entries:

» In the Middle Of the Night

Crying and wiping tears together
which wet my pillow tonight
I try not to
think of you,
But it seems
Impossible.

Your thought and
my memories,
they seem to have
trapped me.
I can think of nothing anymore.

And I realize,
It’s useless
to try.

liebster award

The Liebster Blog Award

This too is from Amira and is one of the best! I love it!
Liebster in German means ‘dearest’ or ‘beloved’ but it can also mean “favorite”..

The rules for this one are:

  1. List eleven random facts about yourself.
  2. Nominate eleven other bloggers for the Liebester Award.
  3. Notify these bloggers.
  4. Ask eleven questions that the bloggers must answer upon accepting the Liebester Award
  5. Answer the eleven questions that you were asked when you were nominated.

    The Eleven Facts!

(Eleven? Really, eleven? And I am stuck on the first.)
    Alright, here:

    • I wrote my first poem when I was nine titled ‘Guess who make these?’ (Which stands for: Who Is Our Creator?) 🙂
    • I am the type who saves everything, from gift-wrappers to old chit-chats so that I cherish the memories later! I find it difficult to forget things, or people.
    • Tablet, iPhone, or Laptop – these are currently in my wish list. So feel free to gift any of these. 😉
    • I have a huge collection of memories: from embarrassing moments that are always as embarrassing as were in the first place! *blushes*. And happy moments which are always pleasing to think of! (Isn’t this similar to the second point?)
    • I am very bad at making decisions. For instance, I will think a hundred times before changing a blog theme, and will end up on the one I use, miserably.
    • I like to paint, sketch, and write. (I have said that before. But you see, the rules doesn’t say it has to be a new fact!)
    • I have a list of countries in my travel wish-list. Malaysia has always hold magic for me, maybe because of its name.
    • I am badly stuck at point eight.
    • I was very fascinated by Enid Blyton books when I was a kid. 🙂
    • While in school, I participated in Spelling Bee competition and won the district round! Then our name appeared in the local newspaper as ‘spelling bee stars’! (Another memory for the list..)
    • I rarely use Twitter, and I have begun to dislike Facebook too. I like to socialize, but these platforms now bore me.

Now The Answers:Amira has asked the following fun questions:

    • Why do you blog?

I blog to share, so that I can pour my feelings and relax!

    • If you can be another person for a day, who do you choose to be?

Personally there are few roles I might like to switch but just a day won’t satisfy. So I’d select being a President!

      • Why do you choose to be that person? (this makes it easier answering doesn’t it?) :)

Because the authorities that I will be granted will almost make me feel I have got a magic wand! 😉 You see, I have a day’s switching only. So I will borrow this role and make permanent amendments to set things right!

      • If you were to exchange your hands with someone else for 24 hours, whose hands would you have? (I borrowed this question from someone)

Umm, 24 hours? My mother then!

      • Why did you choose the person you chose above. :)

Cuz she has the most beautiful hands always taking care of me!

      • What is the color of the outfit you are wearing right now?

      Its black with bright-colored flowers!

    • Why do you think I asked that last question?Haha! All I can say is ‘God knows and you know’! 😉 Oh if you had asked me what color I have for Eid, I’d tell more ecstatically!
      • What is the exact thought running through your mind right now?

That its kinda tough answering. And also, what am I going to ask my nominated bloggers?! 😉

      • If you got the chance to get reborn to this world, what would you want to be different about you?

I don’t know what I could change about myself, but I’d definitely refrain from all and any mistakes that I have made.

      • What is the best movie you have watched in your entire life?

There certainly are certain movies that I enjoyed for certain, but that one best movie is yet to come! 😉

      • What is the one question that I should be asking you, instead of all of the above?

Wait. *Thinking hard*.. What’s your favorite dish? And I would be writing here a list! 😀

      Now For My nominees:

      Tanumoy Biswas.
      Ain Riz.
      Mohammad Sarosh.
      Silent Fingers
      Sir Utham
      Mam Tanveer Rauf.
      Akanksha.
      Sumaiya.
      Khaula Nazir.
      Minuscule Moments.
      Niki.

    • Questions for you:

Whoops! Should I do that with you? I will try to be easy with my question Because you eleven deserve the Liebster award so well! Liebster In german;as I told, means ‘dearest’ or ‘beloved’ but it can also mean “favorite”.. and your blog for me is a wonderful spot!

    Who is your ideal?
Your best quality in your own eyes?
    Most memorable moment?
    Your favorite color?
A dream yet to be accomplished?
    Patriotic?
    Favorite book?
    Meat or vegetable?
    Fiction or poetry?
One thing you’d change in this world if given a chance?

The above elevens are free to:

  1. Answer all questions and take the award.
  2. Not answer any question, but still take the award! 😉

(Oh and if you choose the second option, then please be kind enough to leave a blogging tip here in the comments! That will do equally fine! 🙂 )

Yipee! Done with that too! Now is another award by the very awesome gegebearbear: Two Rights Attempting To make A Left! ‘Happily married couple taking one day at a time to reacquaint with one another after surviving life-threatening illnesses!’

shine-on-awardAwarded to me by my two superb friends, White Pearl and Moniba! I send in your way barrels of warm wishes and thankfulness!

Rules of the awards:

  • State seven things about yourself.
  • Link to 15 other bloggers.

Seven things: Extract the first or the last seven from the ‘Eleven facts’ or find them here.

I shall nominate for this award, all those super-awesome bloggers that I found in the starting of this blog i.e. when ‘RandomlyAbstract’ was a new-born. The posts were stupid, they contained typos, grammatical mistakes, excessive emotions. But these people helped me to move on. And encouraged me to write more.

Now that I check back, I realize how much their connection meant to me, and that ‘bloggers’ are the most wonderful strangers.

Among these,

– some don’t post as often as they used too. Some have almost abandoned their blog. 😦

– some still write. And write fantastic as usual! I feel unfortunate to have lost connection. So this is to let them know that their blogs are superb! I look forward to reading your blogs again! Shine on as you always do! 🙂

I am living.

Some tears rolled down..

In my heart’s clustered town.

They cause movements.

I’m living.

I’m loving.

….~.~.~.~…

They rolled further down

To the center of the town.

They cause commotions

I’m dying.

I’m dead.

And yet they traveled more

To the point that made me sore.

They made me live again!

I’m dead.

A for apple, B for Ball~

I have no idea why I am posting this, and this is a very stupid post.

As I told I am teaching a kid nowadays, it has obviously affected my thinking and attitude. I am learning to be patient, to listen attentively, and to let that little girl do the way she wants. Sadly, I can not always boss around! 😀

Teaching is learning twice!

Plus, I will use my childish ways even when I am not in the role! For example, look at the following verses that I texted my aunt today:

A for Apple,

B for Ball,

Are you free?

May I call?

C for Cat,

D for Dot.

Here are mangoes,

That I bought!

E for Elephant,

F for Fish,

I love Biryani!

What’s your fave dish?

(=D Lol, are you enjoying?)

G for Gorilla,

H for Horse,

This is a cat,

And this is a mouse!

I for Island,

J for Jack,

There is the key,

At your back!

K for Kangaroo,

L for Love!

I like birds,

Sparrow and dove!

(Genius. ;))

M for Master,

N for Night,

I pray for you!

With all my might!

(These are all sudden couplets! Please don’t doubt my senses.)

So this was it. You see, I am too busy teaching her, in any way that I can think of! My aunt, the one I texted all that stuff, is well-experienced. She has done Montessori Training Course from a well-reputed institute here, and she gives me some very valuable advices! Btw, she loved my attempt! 😀

So well, that’s all for today. I really hope I don’t post much about this teaching experience, because you get bored or not, I certainly will. 😉

11 May 2013: Elections in a democratic Pakistan

Today is the day our fate for the next five years will be decided democratically. Elections happen every five years. But this time, they are different. The excitement and the chaos signal the first transition between civilian governments.

Analysis of M Ilyas Khan, BBC news, Islamabad:

Pakistani voters are for the first time exercising their right to approve or reject the performance of the rulers they chose the last time. In the past, governments elected by them were sacked by the presidents or the military.

A large audience has decided to vote for Pakistan, thanks to the media for creating awareness that everybody is ready for a change by casting their ‘precious votes’. Queues started forming before polling stations opened at 08:00 (03:00 GMT) on Saturday. Men, women, and no discrimination- half of them have already voted, and half are still waiting in lines. The youth especially, is very excited to create a change.

The leading political parties are that of MQM, Jamat e Islami, PTI, PPP and Muslim League. The PTI leader Imran Khan has surely won the hearts of the youth and despite the rumors against PTI, his supporters are confident of his victory.

Havoc and mismanagement can not be ignored. A bomb blast in the port city of Karachi on Saturday morning left 11 people dead and 40 others wounded, said officials of BBC. Jamat-e-Islami has announced its boycott in Karachi and Hyderabad. Those that said the elections will be bloody and torturous, were right. Internal ministries calls in 2,000 more troops for Karachi. Sporadic violence has to be faced. Nobody is sure what is going to happen in the next hours.

According to Election Commision officer, the riots are not unexpected. Pakistan being the FIFTH largest democratic country, with 7 million voters from Karachi only, expects such incidents.

All voters of change are now hoping for the better future of Pakistan. The polling stations will be closed at 17:00 and immediate action should be taken to provide free and fair elections. May God the elections results are fair. And may God Pakistan be blessed with a brightere future, and not the same black days.

Windy drizzles and memories ♥

I stood at the balcony whilst it rained. It was today’s dark night and the sky had blackened more than ever. It started with strong windy blows and it was not late before some tiny droplets began to pour. Tiny, tiny droplets, with increasing wind made it feel so soothing that I couldn’t stop admiring.

While I stood at the balcony, my head peeping out to enjoy the rain, I saw the fearful lightning on the dark, black sky. It was something that made everything go very bright, for split seconds. It looked frightening, orange streaks of it. And then the crosswind had made it hard to breathe. But I wanted to exhale the beauty of it! I wanted to live in that moment so that I can cherish it later, for a thing of beauty is a joy forever!

The rain dropped with its sweet smell and tiny texture on my face. I was amazed by the beauty of that moment. It was all so splendid. Though the lightning streaks and high airstream made me think of those who might be facing different problems due to the sudden change in weather tonight. I prayed to God to bless his mercy and save from His wrath. Then I thought of a friend who is on her exotic trip to Kashmir- the beautiful Kashmir! I hope she is enjoying to her best for she loves the rain as much as I do.

The polythene bags flew with the direction of wind and it was quite interesting to watch them do, (though they are a sign of pollution) they would fly so high and with such an impeccable speed that it was difficult to catch their view!

The trees were blown back and forth at a ferocious and violent speed due to the hurricane and the pedestrians had all hurried to their destinations. However, there still was traffic running on the streets because the people were in a hurry to reach their houses, safe and sound.

After having it all stand in my memory as strong and vivid that I could make it, I returned inside and had dinner. half an our later that I went to my balcony, the drizzling had stopped but the wind was as blissful as it was. The water from the taps is as cold as ice and my hands too..

The broken Pakistan…

Pakistan resolution Day : 23rd March 1940 – 23rd March 2013

Minar-e-Pakistan

Minar-e-Pakistan (Pakistan Day Memorial) is a minar which was built to commemorate the day when the Pakistan resolution was passed on March 23, 1940. The main tower of this memorial was completed on March 22, 1968. The location was originally known as Minto Park. It was here that the historic session of the All-India Muslim League was held on March 23, 1940.

This resolution called for the creation of an independent state for Muslims in British-India. As Wikipedia says;

Although the name “Pakistan” had been proposed by Choudhary Rahmat Ali in his Pakistan Declaration[3] in 1933, Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other leaders had kept firm their belief in Hindu-Muslim unity.[4] However, the volatile political climate and sidelining of Muslims by Indian National Congress showed the future of the Muslims in the subcontinent not so bright[5][6] and gave the idea stronger backing.[7]

The resolution stated that,

No constitutional plan would be workable or acceptable to the Muslims unless geographical contiguous units are demarcated into regions which should be so constituted with such territorial readjustments as may be necessary.[14]

Additionally, it stated:

That adequate, effective and mandatory safeguards shall be specifically provided in the constitution for minorities in the units and in the regions for the protection of their religious, cultural, economic, political, administrative and other rights of the minorities,

To know about the proceedings and speech, visit here.

Seven years after the strong struggle of leaders was the independence act signed and the Islamic republic of Pakistan appeared on the world map. Not to forget the massacres and bloodshed which resulted as a reaction from those who disliked the idea and STRONGLY OPPOSED it.

.

65 years have passed to the creation of Pakistan.

Pakistan is still not an independent country. The world calls it a terrorist state. The world judges the 16 crore plus people by the 16 thousand or so enemies of the state. The world sees that Pakistan has failed. That it has collapsed!! (and not that it is striving to stand up again!)

The world can NOT see the beauty, the originality, and the hearts of Pakistanis because that is not SHOWN to them!!! What the media shows is the bombards, the helter-skelter, the terrorism. And its true. It’s actually true  that Pakistan is going through the worst possible condition. Nobody feels safe. Life isn’t safe. People are dying, starving, and afraid.

BUT the Pakistanis, the rest of the 16 crore people, the sad and happy people, the safe and unsafe people, WANT A CHANGE! They want the world to see their positivity, they want them to see what Pakistan really is. They want better governments, they are all striving to help others. They appreciate a good change and they wish and hope to get good leaders like the leaders in their past!

They have all the potential and the greatest potential they have is hope!

These are the things they want you to admire:

A country is easy to get and not easy to control. Whatever situation Pakistan goes through, patriotism is never going to die. The people are always going to strive for good and that is the best positivity you will find about this country!

Darkness’ Pain

All the happiness has left,
the dream is now gone.
There’s no motive or reason,
it was merely withdrawn.

It all trickled out,
through the hole in my heart.
All that’s left is the pain,
and through this pain I now part.

I wanted to put it all aside,
I wanted to throw it all away.
And just ignore it all till’ death,
to just make everything okay.

But it wont be okay,
I want it to leave.
To just let it go,
through the wind it will weave.

But that is not life’s wish,
and so this pain I will keep.
Through this pain I will sink,
down to the darkness so deep.

So Much Happening.

When a country is at the verge of a possibly great change, all there is common between millions is excitement and hopes. How I wish all turns out good. It happened in Syria, now its happening here.

  • Little time left for elections.
  • TUQ stood up for a change towards better laws and democracy according to the country’s constitutions.
  • Opposition parties have joined hands ‘against’ the demands of TUQ, declaring his act ‘undemocratic’.
  • A sea of supporters who include children, women, and men have been protesting peacefully together with their new leader for a change. (No rain or bad weather stops them)
  • Government organizes a ten member delegation which reaches to the location and sits with TUQ to resolve the matter and look into it ‘carefully’.
  • Pakistanis praying for better results.

And every dark cloud has a silver lining…
