Sadness Tracks Happiness: Emotions.

lazy_summer_afternoon

Sadness tracks Happiness.

PROVED.

I came home today, and I was pretty excited for no reason…I laughed, and played, and shouted, and enjoyed. Later, I was trapped in that depressive mode of mine:

And I began humming sad tunes.

Sketching.

Sitting.

And pondering.

Why does that always happen? Why does sadness track happiness? Why is sadness powerful?

EVERY FELLOW IS A FLOWER-BEING!

As I dropped myself leisurely on the couch beside my side-table, I could get a clear view of the dark, black sky spread with a myriad of stars twinkling brightly.. The moon-light appeared to be sifting through those navy blue curtains and reflecting on those pretty rose flowers bundled neatly in the vase placed on my table.I could not help myself but praise the luxurious and bountiful beauty..
While observing the mesmerizing flowers that had captured my full attention, a thought somehow managed to enter the corridors of my mind..! I began to compare a flower with a human-being.Isn’t a fellow-men’s life similar to that of a beautiful flower, which comes in different colours and natures?! It does resemble in a number of ways..!
Lets see! First of all is the process of a flower’s production. It starts with a tiny bud which is very delicate and sophisticated, and yes, beautiful! Gradually spreads a flower. Each petal opens one by one and after holding an absolute shape, they spread their fragrance to every nook and corner..They do their job and fascinate people until somebody plucks them or their death-time arrives..!
Similarly, a child takes birth as a helpless, tiny creature and gains power and energy in a very gradual manner. Days and months slowly pass and with that unlocks each new door to a different and a very different personality! Then the ‘fellow’ is supposed to spread his/her fragrance and show his existence by benefiting his people around.
As Allah (SWT) puts it in the Holy Quran,
“Spread what is good and restrain from what is not.” (Meaning)
With this aim lives a fellow and on this path he remains, or at-least tries to, until his last breath.Just like a flower dries and dies, so does a human life. Everything else fades away, but the fragrance that the ‘fellow’ spreads, remains there forever! And so, people remember him for the good deeds or small acts of kindness that he did, for the sake of mankind.

“No man who continues to add something to the material, intellectual, and moral wellbeing of the place in which he lives is long left without proper reward.”
— Booker T. Washington

“Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger, and will make, not only our own happiness, but that of the world at large.”
— Mahatma Gandhi (1869-1948) Indian Political Leader.

And now I am fully convinced that this world can become such a beautiful and aromatic place, if and only if everybody plays their role as a flower; which lives not for itself but for others, to fascinate others, and who doesn’t keeps its fragrant scent only to itself ..!
